A national nonprofit organization partnered with Ready to Launch Research to conduct nonprofit market research focused on the user experience of a newly launched geriatric data platform. The study aimed to evaluate how key stakeholders—including funders, advocates, and policymakers—interact with the site, with a focus on improving navigation, content clarity, and functionality. This usability testing for nonprofits was designed to ensure the platform effectively supports aging-focused initiatives.
We conducted nine in-depth stakeholder interviews, each lasting 45–60 minutes via Zoom. Participants were asked to complete specific tasks on the website while sharing their screens, enabling our researchers to observe their navigation behavior and identify barriers to usability. The sample included professionals from advocacy organizations, policy think tanks, and government agencies across California, Washington, D.C., and New York. This approach blended qualitative insights with real-time user testing for rich nonprofit audience feedback.
The average likelihood of participants using the platform in their professional roles scored 8.5 out of 10, confirming strong interest and potential adoption. Key findings highlighted opportunities to simplify navigation, clarify data presentation, and align content with policy needs. As a result, actionable UX recommendations were delivered to the nonprofit client, helping to transform the website into a more accessible, effective tool for advancing aging-related policy and advocacy work.
